Rev. Alcorn's family tree with details regarding who enslaved them over the years:

Grace Howze…..born 1770 in NC. enslaved by Isaac Howzze, then by his son William Duke Howze, and then by W.D.'s son Isham Howze.

Grace's Children and grandchildren:

Dilcy Howze McKinney….born 1790 Enslaved by Isaac then James then W. D. Howze, she is either sold, hired or loaned to W.D.’s son Green Duke Howze, then his daughter Susan B. Howze after his death, and ultimately she is given to Isham Howze in W.D.’s will.

Dilcy's children were: Nancy aka “Nutly” (1810). She was enslaved by Isaac then Green Duke           then his daughter Susan B. Howze then Isham, loaned out to Isham’s sister-in-law Clara F.

Wilson Baker and eventually returned to E.J. Howze after Isham’s death. Dilcy's other children

were: Amanda (1820) and Wash or "Wake" (1825)

Henry Hill…. born 1800 + spouse Mary aka “Milly” (1820). Henry was enslaved by Isaac then W.D. then Amy Howze Campbell then Amy’s son in law John W. Hill.

     Henry & Milly's children were: Thomas (1838), Wash (1840), Simon (1843), Joseph (1845),

     James (1849)

Aggy aka “Agga” Howze .... born 1810 + unknown spouse, possibly an elder Jerry listed in Isaac Howze’s probate records. Aggy was enslaved by Isaac then W.D. then Isham in trust for Martha Howze Murray.

Aggy's children were: Jerry (1822), Sarah (1825), and Nathan (1828) - Nathan is Alcorn's father

Horace Howze.... born 1815 + spouse Emily Sanford b. 1818 (unconfirmed) enslaved by W.D. Howze then likely sold after his death.

Horace and Emily's children were: Sallie, Adelaide, Mary, and Martha

The above information is only three generations, and the farther back we go in time, the more difficult it is to “prove” the family relationships. So much of the evidence that I have for this tree comes from the journals of Isham Howze in which I found snippets of information that I was able to string together about them. My hope is that if I am wrong, I will be corrected, and if there are others who are related to these people, that my research will help them fill out more of their tree and find more of their ancestors!
